In Episode 14 Shiva returns to Toronto again talking all about what happened at E3 and the aftermath that may have ensued. We first break up the first party companies with XBOX, Playstation and Nintendo high level analysis and end with the 3rd party E3 conferences. I really wanted to focus more on the games that stood out to me both from an impact on the industry and ones that may have really gained my attention (*cough* Cyberpunk *cough*).
For our first double digit episode Shiva brings on two guests! Steve Myers from Respawn joins Shiva to talk about what he would like to see regarding XBOX exclusives at E3 2018 this year as we lament on not securing Blizzcon tickets for November. Jacob Everett from Backflip Studios also joins later giving further thoughts on XBOX exclusives and third party expectations. Some great predictions happen during this segment with some surprising ideas.
On this episode Shiva talks about his visit to all the geek places he checked out on his visit to Manhattan including his love for the Nintendo New York store and some awesome pickups over there. He also talks about his search for some retro games giving some crazy nostalgia stories on Double Dragon 2 and Super C. Additionally, he visited the Midtown Comics store near Times Square and talks about the awesome statues they had on display. He also gives his views of what he would like to see the XBOX team do as we roll towards E3 as well as his expectations and thoughts on Ready Player One and Pacific Rim Uprising. The news segment talks about why he is still interested in No Man’s Sky, some awesome games finally heading to Switch and an unexpected but awesome game that caught his eye at GDC this year.
